it is great to see that draft and i like how it is included in the book at the back. Do you know who came up with the drawings for the ads which are found in Because You Love You Come Apart?

Taidgh, Every single ad that is in the comic I solicited with Emily Pettit, who published it. We had them because we cared about what they were doing and wanted to promote them!! Nothing was random. Everything was purposeful. In fact, my fiance, Ben Pease, put together a lot of them, including the Birds LLC ad, which harkens back to a traditional comic book ad from the 80's, like the Ana Božičević ad. <3

We collaborated on all of them, in other words.

Thanks Bianca. I got as much from Ana Božičević's ad. I must mention that the entire book was very well thought out and put together masterfully. Your inclusion of the ads meant there was another element to the comic. It also slowed down the reading of it, and made me reflect a lot more.

I remember seeing something to this effect done in Ryan Standfest's Black Eye volume1 with his inclusion of ads. Although these were fictional it was a statement of sorts, and I can see them as meaningful, purposeful statements in your book.

Not sure if I am making sense. Just speaking my mind. Thanks a million for getting your work out there. Have a great weekend!

Awesome. I'll check that out.

The last comic I did, I had ads as well, but they were almost all fictional. I wanted to experiment with ads that looked real, for real things, as well as fictional ads.

Anyway, thanks so much. <3
